Caving Adventures Provided by Upward Enterprises
Caving is an all seasons adventure trip. Caves are warm in the winter months and cool in the summer.
When it comes to caving, Upward Enterprises, Inc. will provide you with necessary group gear, including; ropes, chest and waist harnesses, rappel devices, ascenders, helmets, and headlamps. We can also arrange special outings that combine climbing or rappelling with your caving experience. If you are interested in a specially designed excursion, please inquire - Upward Enterprises, Inc. will do its best to accommodate your needs.
If you have never been caving before, you will be amazed as you descend into historic caves with breathtaking formations and ancient features. Upward Enterprises, Inc. offers instruction in spelunking and adventure caving in the wild caves of Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, and Maryland. We offer day caving trips as well as weekend excursions. The price for a caving trip varies by its duration, location, and the goals of the group with regard to the cave's level of challenge. Discounts are available for youth, and not-for-profit groups.
Tips For Caving
- Never go caving alone
- Wear a helmet!
- Wear clothes that can keep you warm, dry and comfortable
- Wear rubber soled boots
- Take at least 2 sources of light - preferably a headlamp
- Plastic bags for the trash
